Central Virginia Raceway Ministries

Central Virginia Raceway Ministries (CVRM) is an interdenominational ministry supported by churches and individuals in the Central Virginia/Richmond Metropolitan area with a genuine desire to provide a friendly, caring community as we reach out to all race fans, track employees and emergency rescue workers as ambassadors of goodwill during motor racing events at the Richmond International Raceway.

CVRM is a partner with Motor Racing Outreach (Charlotte N.C.) in mutual endeavors that seek to bring a witness of Christ’s love to race fans and the racing community during race weekends. CVRM ministry goals include:

· To minister along side of RIR Guest Services to make the experience at each racing event as positive and enjoyable as possible.

· To provide services and activities “free of charge” to all during race weekends.

· To maintain a witness of moral stability among race fans and provide a positive influence as we minister as ambassadors of goodwill.

· To provided wholesome, quality services and activities that preserve and promote an already strong “family-friendly” environment at RIR.

· To provide counseling services to assist fans in times of personal and family crisis while at the raceway. In addition, qualified chaplains will assist the emergency medical personnel as they deal with crises at the first aid/care center locations.

To provide scheduled services of Christian worship for interested fans, track employees, and fire/rescue personnel.

CVRM also partners with the Central Virginia Baptist Ministry to sponsor the "Bring-A-Kid" to the Race Night prior to the May Nationwide Race each year. Bring-A-Kid night allows children 12 and under to attend a Nationwide Race for free when accompanied by an adult. Prior to the race, CVBM presents a free program with music, entertainment and a vist from a special NASCAR guest. Check out the flyer below for more details.
