2009 Back-To-School Celebrations @ Baptist Centers

Every Fall prior to the start of the new school year in August, the RBA WMU and churches provide backpacks, school supplies and other items to the three Baptist Centers for their Back-To-School Celebrations.  The purpose of these celebrations is to distribute the backpacks, school supplies, underwear and toilitries to as a way to encourage each child to succeed in school by providing them with the items they need to begin a new school year.  The celebrations are also a way the Centers can show their support to the community as they share God's Love and provision in a joyous way. 

Each Center has specific requirements regarding the children that are eligible to receive a backpack and supplies.  You can check with each Community Missionary listed below to find out their requirements.  Also, you can contact the Center Missionaries if you want to volunteer to help at one of more of the Celebrations!

SOUTH RICHMOND CENTER, 700 East Belt Blvd, Richmond 23224
Celebration Date: Friday, August 21 - 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Deliver supplies on Friday, August 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Celebration Date: Saturday, August 22 - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Deliver supplies on August 17, 18 & 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

CHURCH HILL WELLNESS CENTER'S Celebration at Bethlehem Baptist Church,
1920 Fairmount Avenue, Richmond 23223.
Celebration Date: Saturday, August 29 - 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Deliver supplies on August 19 & 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
