The CVBM State Fair Ministries Team

Hospitality bags- Gallon-sized freezer bags filled with toiletry items are needed. Suggested toiletry items include travel-sized bottles of shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, gum, soap, deodorant, band aids, washcloths, and hand sanitizers. These will be distributed to the State Fair employees prior to the opening of the State Fair. Bags should be delivered to by September 15 to any of these associational offices: Dover, Hermon, Middle District, or Richmond.
Ambassador Program- Volunteers are needed to answer questions and give directions at the fairgrounds. Volunteers must be able to stand and to be mobile for 4-hour shifts. (Note: The State Fair must have a list of volunteers by August 31). Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Orientation for this program will be held September 11 at 10:00 a.m. with lunch at 12:00 noon at Cool Springs Baptist Church. Brochures will be available from the State Fair shortly.
Changing Station/Nursing Mother Area: There is no longer a need for female volunteers for this area – the State Fair has decided to handle this booth privately.

Clergy volunteers may give out their own business cards or cards provided by the State Fair Ministries Team. (NOTE: The State Fair must have a list of chaplains by August 31).
Breakfast Sponsors- The State Fair Ministries Team will provide a breakfast to State Fair employees during a worship rally on two consecutive Sundays, September 28 and October 5. Breakfast will consist of juice, coffee, pastries, and biscuits. Financial gifts toward the purchase of the breakfast items can be mailed to CVBM, P. O. Box 34241, Richmond, VA 23234.
Please contact Gayle Taylor at the CVBM office at 598-6350 or gayle.taylor@cvbm.org to volunteer for any of the opportunities above or to answer any questions.
